Provo Canyon. In August, Mark Galbraith and I climbed the prominent pedestal between the ice climbs “Finger of Fate” and “Bridalveil Falls.” A long fist crack in the big left-facing corner is what attracted us. The climb starts just right of the pedestal and follows steep cracks interspersed with leftward traverses for two pitches to the base of the comer. One long lead up this comer on good rock landed us on the top of the spectacular pedestal. (II, 5.9.)
