Satopanth. One of the three Altitude Extrême expeditions climbed Satopanth by the normal route with bad weather and difficult snow conditions. Two members were carried away by a snow avalanche but were able to escape without injury. After starting on July 27, seven Frenchmen, guide Dominique Marquis, Louis Brigaudeau, Dominique Louandre, Yves Mantoux, Régis Page, Daniel Glorian and Gérard Gastineau, and two French women, Elizabeth Sans and Dominique Chelle, reached the summit on August 18.
