Asia, Nepal, Annapurna Attempt

Publication Year: 1986.

Annapurna Attempt. A five-man Japanese team was led by Jun Yasumura. They wanted to climb the north face via the Dutch rib. On October 3 Yuichi Tokuma and three others reached a high point of only 6000 meters. Continuous snowfall made conditions impossible and they retreated to Base Camp. They gave up the climb on October 12.
