Dunagiri. Our members were Jordi Anglí, Manuel Broch, Josep Font- cuberta, Francesc Pañella, Manuel Quevado, Martí Vall and I as leader. We left Lata with 31 porters and in four days got to Base Camp on the Ramani Glacier on August 20. We placed Camp I at 17,000 feet, Camp II in the west col at 19,200 feet and Camp III on the top of the spur on the northwest ridge at 21,650 feet. On September 6 Fontcuberta and Pañella left Camp III and after a bivouac in a snow cave they dug got to the summit (7066 meters, 23,183 feet) at midday of September 7. Time prevented further attempts.
