Publication Year: 1983.

Ganesh IV. A South Korean expedition led by Joo Si-Jeong climbed Ganesh IV (7102 meters, 23,300 feet) via the south face, establishing three high camps. Korean Lee Sung-Ryul and Sherpas Dorje and Ajiwa reached the summit on October 5. They completed the climb despite many avalanches, one of which took out fixed ropes and led to a fall by a Sherpa, who, climbing without a fixed rope, fell 100 feet into a crevasse and broke his leg.
