Peaks in El Brujo Group. Two peaks belonging to E1 Brujo group, located at the head of the Maitenes valley, north of Tinguiririca river (Colchagua province) were ascended in early January by Chilean climbers. Besides other repeat ascents, F. Arias, J. Barrera, J. Rivera and F. Rodríguez reached the summit of a rock tower northeast of El Brujo, probably about 4700 meters (15,420 feet) high, or perhaps lower. Cerro Mirador de los Volcanes (c. 4400 meters, 14,436 feet) was ascended by J. Contreras, E. Lagos and L. Miranda. Both are believed to be first ascents.
