Surapatilla, Vinohurara, Huayna Potosí, Cordillera Real. The Ober-bayerische Anden Expedition climbed from June 4 to 17. They ascended many of the summits rising from the glaciers on the northern rim of the Hichukhota valley. Two peaks, Surapatilla (c. 5400 meters, 17,717 feet) and Vinohurara (c. 5660 meters, 18,570 feet) may have been first ascents. The members were Georg and Josef Siefried, Franz Kerbeck, Siegfried Ludwig and Rudolf Friedl. On June 17 the Seifried brothers climbed Huayna Potosí by a new line east of the normal route, on or near the southern flank of the northeast ridge. (Information kindly provided by Georg Seifried.)
