Foraker. The southeast ridge of Foraker was done by my wife Shari and me. We were on the ridge from May 9 to 18 and summited on May 15. We followed the original route except at the bottom, where we climbed the left spur (an earlier variation) to avoid having to pass beneath the icefall. The route was primarily snow with ice from 12,000 to 13,000 feet just before gaining the ridge crest. Storms pinned us down for three out of the ten days.
