Silverthrone. After we were landed by Doug Geeting in the spectacular Ruth Amphitheater, we skied eight miles to the base of an icefall, established our third camp at the top of the icefall, and skied around Silverthrone, gaining the summit ridge via the northeast side. The ridge was narrow and we climbed the final 1200 feet to the summit (13,320 feet) with 2000 feet of air on either side. Arriving on top were Dave Haring, Gary Galbraith, Jay Lucas, A1 Pajunen and I. This took place from April 26 to 30.
