Minar and M6, Kishtwar Region. A British Joint Service team, led by Squadron Leader Emlyn Thomas, was joined by members of the Indian Air Force. Base Camp was in the Chandra valley. They made the first ascent of two peaks between June 24 and July 2. Minar (20,250 feet) was climbed from a camp at 17,925 feet; M6 (20,600 feet) was done with camps at 15,750 and 18,075 feet.
