Cordillera de Ansilta. After being forbidden by the Chileans to climb on the mountains above Santiago, three men and two women from Trieste climbed in the Cordillera de Ansilta. They were Walter Mejak, leader, Bianca de Beaco, Fioretta Tarloa, José Baron and Fabio Benedetti. They made the following first ascents: Cima Fortuna (16,388 feet), the two peaks of Cerro Fiero (16,470 and 16,453 feet), Cerro de la Laguna el Tome (16,847 feet) and Torre Augusto (15,945 feet).
