Spanish Expedition to West Greenland. An expedition of the Unió Excursionista de Catalunya was composed of Ramó Barceló, Joan Freixas, Jaime Farreras, Antonio Rañé, Carlos Romero, Victor Villa- grasa, Vicente Primo, Carlos Ortiz and Juan Merino. They went by air to Søndre Strømfjord and then by ship to Sukkertoppen. They climbed five peaks in the Inugsuit Lake area. On July 10 they sailed to Evinghesfjord, 75 miles north of Sukkertoppen, where they climbed for two weeks, reaching ten summits of from 3610 to 6260 feet, some of them virgin.
