A noshah, Ishmurgh Valley. Bram van Veelen, Richard Hauer, Frits Iordens, Frank Boesveldt, Jan van Wulfften Palthe and Herman Plugge as leader, all members of the Royal Dutch Alpine Club, visited the Hindu Kush. The government coup resulting in the dismissal of the king, caused the expedition considerable delay in reaching their target area, the Ishmurgh valley in the Wakhan. Therefore, all anticipated summits could not be attempted. However, all members of the expedition on August 12 made the third ascent of Anoshah (18,209 feet). A subsequent attempt on Kohe Hevad (22,471 feet) failed mainly from lack of time. They reached 19,700 feet, where they established Camp III.
