Janapampa, Taulliraju Group. Members of our group made two climbs which are probably first ascents. One, Janapampa (17,192 feet), the high point on the southeast end of the Taulliraju ridge, was a fairly difficult ice and rock climb. It was done on July 28 by Brian Greenwood, Shirley Bridges, John Beaupre and Donato Solano at the same time as Miles O’Reilly, John Murphy and Miguel Alfonso were climbing the other, a small snow pyramid (16,503 feet) to the east of Janapampa. That same day Nick Delisa, Sharon Beaupre, Richard Deming, Floriano Solano, Felipe Mautino and I climbed Rajucacca. On July 23 all the above along with Eve Anderson, Noel Hicks, Henry and Steve Kobsa, Pat Lafuze, Wiliam Zache and Pablo Morales climbed Yanpaccha Oeste. On August 7 Pisco was climbed by Mrs. Bridges, both Beaupres, Greenwood, O’Reilly, Deming and me.
