Chinchey and Ayukaraju. Shinichi Takizawa led this expedition. Base Camp was established on July 7 on Pucaranracocha at 13,775 feet. On July 21 Ichie Komiyama, Takeshi Yabunami, Taneshi Kaneko, Masatoshi Toda and Takeo Nezu climbed Chinchey (20,413 feet) from the Pucaranra col. On July 30 they made the second ascent of Ayukaraju (18,527 feet), which lies north of Chinchey. After hearing of the accident on Chacraraju to the Kanazawa University group, they went to join the rescue party.
