Mount Corcoran, Southwest Face. A long approach up the south fork of Tuttle Creek leads to the eastern side of Mount Corcoran’s towers. On May 2 Hooman Aprin, Jack Roberts, and I tried a route on the east face of the second tower of Corcoran, but found that fresh snow and unpromising cracks might consume more than our one-day time limit. We descended after two pitches, then found a more compromising, yet interesting new route on the southwest face with a number of 4th and 5th class leads.
