A.A.C., Oregon Section. The section held three regular meetings in 1971 at which we were entertained by Bob Lee’s account of a Mexican- American expedition to the Río Mezquital; George Cummings, Nick Dodge, and Jim Petroske’s explorations in the Coast Range of British Columbia; and by Mary-Lou Combs’ account of backpacking in Nepal. In June we enjoyed a visit by Tenzing Norgay, who was here for much of the summer with Lute Jerstad. The section was active during the year in planning and hosting the Club’s annual meeting and dinner on December 4. Special thanks for that effort are due Jim Angell, Ray Conkling, Carmie Dafoe, John Neal, Nick Nicolai, and Bob Peirce.
