The Seattle branch of the Club library is now in service at The Mountaineers’ clubhouse.

Section meetings included: a description by Ken Jones of the ascent of the Catacomb and East Ridges of Mount McKinley; a show by John Marts ranging from practice climbing on Squamish Chief in British Columbia to an ascent of the Walker Spur on the Grandes Jorasses; Cal Magnusson and Harold Pinsch with slides on climbing in the Idaho Sawtooths followed by a discussion on changing that area into a National Park. At the section’s annual banquet President Clinch reported on recent Club endeavors; Charlie Raymond discussed climbing in the Kichatnas of Alaska; Jim Janney described the 1969 American expedition to Dhaulagiri.
