Dartmouth Mountaineering Club

Publication Year: 1970.

Dartmouth Mountaineering Club. While the DMC sponsored no major expedition during the summer, it was nevertheless well represented by members climbing on the western circuit, mostly in Canada, Yosemite, and the Tetons. The school year saw climbing on Cathedral Ledge, Cannon Mountain, and in the ’Gunks, as well as on local practice cliffs accessible to Hanover. The DMC climbing class for freshmen was extended this year to include technical ice instruction, with several weekends planned for Huntington Ravine on Mount Washington. The 1969 Journal is available by writing to the club at Robinson Hall, Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H. 03755. The price is $1.00 per copy.
