Muhi Zom (Wala 334). This 21,135-foot peak above the Noroghi Khuh Glacier was climbed for the first time on July 27 by Shinichiro Fujii, leader, and Ken Hiroe, and on July 28 by Genki Funakoshi and Toyoshige Inoue. They made up the expedition of the Sanin section of the Japanese Alpine Club. This peak had been previously reconnoitered by the Japanese, who unfortunately called it “Chutidum Zom,” a name already applied to Wala 318. The name by which it is generally called is Muhi Zom. The Japanese in 1968 climbed a small peak from the col south of Muhi Zom (A.A.J., 1969, 16:2, p. 463).
