Alpamayo Norte. The Italians Giancarlo Frigieri, Ferdinando Nusdeo, Gianni Arcari, Carlo Casati and Angelo Erba climbed the north summit of Alpamayo by the north ridge on August 17. They did not continue the traverse to the highest summit.
