Buni Zom Group. Another Austrian expedition was led by Johann Hofer and composed of Rudolf Ludwig and Andreas Schlick. After traveling from Chitral to Maroi by jeep, they took four days to Rahman in the Laspur valley and another day and a half up the Phargam valley to Base Camp at 14,100 feet, which they reached on July 2. Three days later they placed a high camp on the upper Gordoghan Glacier, at 17,000 feet. All members made two first ascents: Buni Zom III (19,849 feet) on July 7 and Rahman Zom (20,670 feet) on July 13; and a second ascent: Buni Zom II (20,342 feet) on July 12.
