Guide to the Wyoming Mountains and Wilderness Areas, by Orrin H. Bonney and Lorraine Bonney. Denver, Colorado: Sage Books, Second, Revised Edition 1965. 528 pages; 95 ills.; 44 maps and aerial photos; index. Price $7.50.

This second revised edition is considerably expanded and improved since the first edition which was published in 1960 and reviewed that year in the A.A.J. by Kenneth A. Henderson. This edition has about 145 pages of new material, nearly two dozen new maps and aerial photographs, and the paper used gives greatly improved clarity to the photographs and maps. The book is much too large and heavy for a convenient field manual, but as noted at the front of the book the authors have also made available separate field books to the Wind River Range, the Absaroka Range and Yellowstone Park, and the Teton Range and Gros Ventre Range. The many new routes added in this edition will certainly make it extremely valuable to those planning to climb anywhere in Wyoming.
