A.A.C., Rocky Mountain Section, Members of the Rocky Mountain Section visited and climbed in mountains all over the world in 1963. Some accompanied the Colorado Mountain Club’s Andean Expedition under the leadership of Harold Walton. Others trekked in Nepal or climbed in Switzerland, the Canadian Rockies, or, of course, Colorado and Wyoming. Two section meetings were held. In July the Everesters from the Denver area, Al Auten and Dick Pownall, were honored at dinner. In September the local members gathered to meet and hear from AAC President, Carlton Fuller. An unusually large number of Rocky Mountain Section members attended the AAC Annual Meeting in Philadelphia. They were glad they did.
