Warrior II, North Face. The 2000-foot north face of Warrior II was climbed by Steve Marts and me on July 21. We got on the face at the right of two rock ribs which stretch down from the left side of the face. We climbed up broken rock to the first ledge where a large snow finger cuts into the face from the left. From the right end of this ledge we ascended an inside corner for a rope-length to where it ends at a minor rib crest. We climbed this and a wide chimney behind it to the second large ledge where a snow finger cuts into the face. From this ledge we moved up another inside corner and then another formed by loose, flaky rock and finally several hundred feet of broken rock to the summit. This climb was NCCS III-8.
