Mount Bryce. The middle peak of Mount Bryce was successfully climbed for the first time on July 27. The 11,100-foot summit was attained at 7:55 A.M. where a cairn was erected. The approach was from the Saskatchewan Glacier Hut, across Castleguard Meadows and down to the river, up to Thompson Pass and down North Rice Brook. The mountain was climbed by the glacier on the south face of the massif, and the middle peak was ascended by its west ridge. The summit party was composed of three Edmontonians: Sig Bucher, Robi Fierz and Jo Kato.
